12/26/97 Good morning.... ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ The way each day will look to you all starts with who you're looking to. ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord. Psalm 121: 1,2 A young man was learning to plow with a tractor. He climbed onto the seat of the tractor for his first "solo run," pulled the lever that dropped the plow to the ground, and started across the field. After he had gone a few yards, he turned around to look at the furrow he was making. He became entranced by the rushing flow of topsoil along the plowshare--the rich, black soil turning over in a seemingly endless ribbon. By the time he turned back to see where he was going, he realized that the wheel of the tractor had swerved a number of times. Glancing again behind him, he saw a wavering furrow, a permanent etching into the earth of his wandering eye. The secret to pulling a straight furrow is not in watching the furrow as it is made, but to set one's sights across the field at a distant point, and to keep the nose of the tractor moving squarely toward that point. The point on which the eyes are fixed must be a fixed point, such as a tree, barn, or hilltop. Only the occasional brief backward glance is allowable! The same holds true for our life of faith. We are to keep our eyes fixed upon Jesus, who never changes, and to line up our behavior with His Word, looking back only rarely on our ministry and outreach efforts. Every day you make choices of how you will spend your time and on what you will focus. Be sure you focus on building a relationship with God and your family. ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ We have a Father in heaven who is Almighty. Trust Him and you will experience miracles. Is your future a friend this morning? Remember that God is in control. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Psalms 62:8 We see Your miracles every day, Father,
if we only open our eyes to them. ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ Rules for Daily Life BEGIN THE DAY WITH GOD: ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ ++ Hi Brethren! Good morning to you all!! Hope this day finds you blessed....and filled with the Presence of Almighty God! Hope your Christmas went well. Mine was great! We were blessed beyond measure....and I don't mean just in the form of gifts.... We had sweet fellowship with our family members, and God peace was so evident. I know that there are some that go through the holidays with the emotions of turmoil and dread....and if that is you, I offer a solution. I encourage you to make your quiet time with the Lord a priority in your life. Let it not be "stolen" from you, by the cares and worries of this world. As an act of your will, spend time with the Father, and get into His Word. You will see a difference in your approach to the circumstances in your life if you do, because, in essence, you are allowing the Holy Spirit to "take the reins." Too often, WE take the reins, and miss out on the blessings and treasures that God has planned for us. I see such a difference when I put God "first" in my life.....As in, the "first" part of my day. Try it. Go "commune with your heart to Our Heavenly Father...and allow Him to pour His Heart, into your own.....and remember this....when you come out of the prayer closet, your circumstances may or may not be changed, but the REAL victory is the change inside of you. God Bless You All...I love you soo much!! In Christ!!
