When we do what we can, God will do what we can't.

For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37

A young man was running a race and he found himself falling further and further behind his competitors. His friends cheered him on from the sidelines, but seemingly to no avail. Then suddenly his lips began to move with great regularity, his legs picked up speed, and to the amazement and cheers of the entire crowd watching the race, he passed his competitors one by one...and won the race!

After he had been given a blue ribbon and received the congratulations of his coach and teammates, he turned to his friends. One of them asked, "We could see your lips moving but we couldn't hear what you were saying. What were you mumbling out there?"

The young man replied, "Oh, I was talking to God. I told Him, 'Lord, You pick 'em up, and I'll put 'em down.....You pick 'em up, and I'll put 'em down!"

When we do the things we know to do, live our lives the way we know God's Word commands us, and we are believing to the best of our ability that the Lord will help us, we are then in a position to know with certainty what the Apostle Paul knew: "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Philippians 4:13).

Going up the mountain

Not too long ago you were experiencing a very dark valley... and you thought that you would never come out of it... but graciously the Lord brought you out of that valley and brought you to a mountain top that was even better than the one before...

With all that is going on now... God is showing you that there are many more valleys to cross before you get to Heaven... the path is narrow and steep and full of dangers, temptations, and snares. You will be tempted along the way with discouragement, fear, anger, disappointment, and hurt... but my friend it is this path that leads to a greater understanding of God's love...

Think back on that last valley.. It was a difficult one.. you questioned your faith, your mission in life, your Christian walk, and various other aspects of your life.. but .... you made it through, with the help of God... when the way gets rough think back on that time when Christ led you through the last valley... and He did .. and He will again...

Look! What is that? ... A grand mountain ahead... with the beauty of the Lord surrounding it... strive for the mountaintop my friend... with all your might strive ...

A visit with My Prince of Peace

"In quietness and confidence
Shall be your strength"
"A love without height, depth, or length"
Those precious times when You flood my soul
Glorious moments, You are making me whole
A time of soft but radiant light
I see my weakness but feel Your might
These touching fillings of Holy beams
I'm breathless now, I have been redeemed!
So now I see why this sweet release
To point another to the Prince of Peace!

Good Morning Precious Brethren!!

Well, a new year is approaching fast, and I imagine there are resolutions to be made...and changes to take place.

I ask you to ponder this question. What is the biggest change you could make that would benefit your spiritual walk the most? As you ponder that question...I urge you to consider that the answer will outweigh any other changes you have already thought about.

There may be some that resolve to, for example, lose weight, quit smoking, be a better mother, spouse, etc. There may be some to resolve to be a better housekeeper, or do better at their job. There may be some that has made a decision to cut loose of a "besetting sin."

Now, let's go back to my original question. What is the biggest change you could make that would benefit your spiritual walk the most? Do you realize that THAT resolution will most likely cause a "ripple effect" on the others? Let me elaborate.

If you know in your heart of hearts, that your time with the Lord is on the shelf, covered with dust....then I say....Make that your resolution.....As I am allowing the Holy Spirit to "fill my cup"....Those other things will naturally happen. It will literally create a "ripple effect".....You know when you throw a rock in a pond, how the water all around ripples and expands...?

That's how it is when I surrender of myself to Christ completely, with no hidden agenda...It ripples outward, causing more "manifestations" of fruit in my life. If we could "Be still and know that He is God" <Psalm 46:10>, then that would be the most awesome resolution we could make.

I can see it now Brethren.....The top of your list says..."New Year's Resolutions," and #1 says: BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD! Amen?? Love you!! {{{{{{{{Brethren}}}}}}}}

To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:11

In Christ!!
