There are great mysteries in this world that only God understands. But this I do understand. No mistake you may have ever made is bigger than God's power to fix it.

Happy Thanksgiving My Dear Friends!!

Hope this finds your week going no less than fantastic! I bid you a warm welcome from the bottom of my heart! I urge you to "feast" on this week's devotional, and allow Jesus to reveal Himself to your heart in a very real, very touching way.

He is so wonderful! And because of Him, we are fearfully and wonderfully made..! I love you guys a bunch! See ya at the end!

John 1:36
And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

Thousands of years before Jesus was called the Lamb of God, God promised forgiveness.

"Someday," God confided to Jeremiah, "these people will be my people and I will be their God."

"And someday," wrote David, "the mistakes of men will be tossed, not under a rug, or behind the sofa, but far, far away. As far as the east is from the west."

And do you know what? That someday came. On a garbage heap outside of Jerusalem.

Someday the almighty God, who has every right to make me burn forever will look past my apathy, point to the cross and invite me to come home....forgiven...forever.

Don't ask, "Can I be kept from sin, if I keep close to Him?" Ask instead, "Can I be kept from sin, if He is near me?" Then you will see how reliable He is. Confess, humble yourself, admit what you have done. Keep the door closed to sin through the blood of Jesus and in the name of Jesus.

There is no formula given for salvation---it is a Person. Truth is not just a systematic theology--it is Jesus. He came to be our life. He is the deepest desire of the human heart. Only in Him do we really begin to live.

The Name Of Jesus

When times are good
I will praise His Name.
When times are bad,
I will do the same.

For He promised me
that He'd never leave
No, He'll never leave me
nor forsake me.
Just call out to Him
draw the Spirit within.
Oh, call out to Jesus,
our God with Us.

When times are bad
and I feel alone
He is right there,
arms holding me close

For He promised me
that He'd never leave me.
No, He'll never leave me
nor forsake me.
Call out His name.
Dwell in the secret place.
Hide under His wing,
oils of refreshing.

Call out His name....Jesus!

Hi again Precious Friends!!!

You know I am sitting here right now, with a grateful heart, just thanking God for what He has ALREADY done in my life. Sometimes we get so focused on what He is going to do, but we forget what He has done already. I am so thankful for the fact that He died for me. I am so thankful that He rose again, and I am extremely grateful of His Word that He will return.

And He will return for a Bride without spot, wrinkle or blemish. Praise God that this Bride is relying on the righteousness of Jesus Christ, and not our own righteousness. We can't get by through our own merit. We can't possibly "make the grade." Jesus is not Santa Claus, bringing goodies based on whether we are naughty or nice. It goes much deeper than that. I would like submit a quote from Fritz Ridenour:

"To practice Christianity is to respond what God has done for you. The Christian life is a relationship with God, not a religious treadmill."

That statement really touched my heart. How many times have I felt doomed because I can't do this "Christian thing" right, no matter how hard I try? If I view it from the perspective of Mr. Ridenour's quote, I see a freedom that I may have overlooked before.

The thing that gets overlooked among the many duties, strivings, and turmoil's that we encounter as Christians, ever abounding in the effort to "make the grade," is the fact, that we should allow God to do the work in our heart through Jesus Christ!

Rom 15:17
I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.

The change, the transformation, the peace, and the freedom WILL come THROUGH Jesus Christ! Anything else used as a measuring stick or a cattle prod just produces more burdens, more strivings, heartache and frustration. As we respond to the call of Jesus, He releases an incomparable peace through the Holy Spirit that He promised His disciples when He ascended to Heaven.

John 14:16-17
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

God's way is soo simple. We have made it so complicated. When we received Him into our hearts, did we not do so as a humbled child? What happened since then? Have we gotten such a rein on this Christianity thing, that we left God at a crossroads, because "we can handle it from here?" That is nothing less than pride. He never said for us to humble ourselves at the beginning, and then become independent as we gain knowledge and wisdom. The knowledge and wisdom that we do gain in our walk is continually meant to glorify Him...not ourselves.

There is a maturity that comes as time continues, but if we lose focus we can become self centered and forgot what brought us to this place. It is important to ALWAYS remember the simplicity of the Gospel. If we think that His way doesn't work anymore, then we have forgotten Jesus' timeless words:

John 14:6-7
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

It's all about Jesus, Friends. It's that simple. The Apostle Paul, in his letters, always pointed back to Jesus. There are many that say there is another way. Perhaps you feel like Christianity isn't working anymore, and you have dabbled in other things attempting to fill the void. I ask you: "Have you really tried Jesus?" I didn't ask if you tried a system, or a religion. I ask..."Have you tried Jesus?" Have you truly opened up your heart, junk and all, and yielded your whole self, to this Person who died for us while we were yet sinners?

A Christian whose heart has been burned with His Holy Fire can never be the same. There will be times in our lives when sin comes knocking at our door, when we yield to the temptations that are there before us...but Friends, even in those places, He makes a way of escape! Look at this:

1 Cor 10:13-14
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also MAKE A WAY to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. ( emphasis mine )

Jesus is that Way! We should RESPOND to Him, and yield to Him as He walks with us through enduring temptations.

Now look at verse 14 of the same chapter for a sec:

14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Are there any idols in our hearts? Is there anything that over a period of time, that suddenly seemed like the most important thing? God's Word clearly states that we must FLEE from these things.. Why? Because they have set up residence, and became a priority, causing us to lose focus on what should be the most important Person in our life: Jesus Christ.

When was the last time you simply responded to the call of Jesus Christ? No agenda, no motive, other than to allow Him to manifest Himself in your life in a way that puts other "ways" to shame, because His way is lasting, His way is the ONLY way. He Himself is that Way.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, I would like to offer a suggestion... When we go through our minds deciding what we are thankful for, let us keep in remembrance WHO we should thank, and not only that, but thank Him just because He is God...and He made a Way for us to fellowship with Him...through His Son Jesus Christ, and His blood atonement that washed away all of our sins. That should be first and foremost on our list of "thankfuls."

As I close with heartfelt wishes for the best Thanksgiving you ever had, I would like to share a little ditty God put on my heart a few years back..

Thank You Lord, for raining down on me, And I thank You Lord, for allowing me to see. Thank You Lord, for Jesus, He set me free, And I thank You Lord, for raining down on me..

God Bless you all sooo much!!
I love you guys dearly!

In Christ!!
