Children miss nothing in sizing up their parents. If you are only half
convinced of your beliefs, they will quickly discern that fact.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering...Hebrews 10:23

Two boys were walking home from church one day. They began talking about the Sunday school lesson they had heard earlier in the morning. "That would really be something," one of the boys said, "to be out in the wilderness for forty days and nights."

"Yeah," said the other boy, "and not eat. Jesus must have been real strong."

"It would have been kind of scary, too," said the first boy, "to have the devil show up and tempt you." The second little boy didn't respond so the first boy asked, "Do you believe that stuff about the devil? Do you think there really is a devil?"

The second little boy looked at his friend and said, "Naah, he's probably just like Santa Claus--it's really just your dad."

Not only do children copy the mannerisms of their parents, they are quick to zero in on their parents' traits, beliefs, and values. Would your child call you a Christian today? Does your child know what you believe, and why? Does your child know how important your faith is to you? The most important person to whom you can witness about your faith is your own child.

There are two kinds of love--human love and God's love. God's love never fails, but human love does. God demonstrates His love to the world through us.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10

Lord, I am willing to act in love toward others. Make me a small reflection of Your love, for even a small reflection can bring light into a dark corner.
Thank You!

A PRAYER

Purposely I turned from you, Oh, Lord,
My way . . . continuously encored.
And then my spirit . . . softly crying,
Began to wither . . . slowly dying.

My arms, oh Lord, would not lift in praise . . .
And my eyes were in an empty gaze.
My lips, oh Lord, could not whisper prayer.
It was almost more than I could bare.

And my nerves were, oh, so greatly fraying,
As my lonely spirit, kept on praying.
Yet I still remained the senseless strayer,
Foolishly chasing the great betrayer.

I cried out in lonely desperation,
Full of anger and exasperation.
My closest friends could not give an answer,
How to be rid of this lethal cancer.

Pray, Lord, what is it that I must do . . .
To completely give my heart to you?
Show me how to steadfastly follow . . .
And feel your love . . . no longer hollow.

Then, I read your word and saw your love,
With that staggering Grace from above.
Now my heart hides in perplexing shame,
As sins great tempter, you boldly tame.

But my love to you is not yet complete,
Sometimes seeming an impossible feat.
I want to love you, Lord, in full measure,
My own free will to no longer treasure.

I come to you Lord, with all my stumbling,
So full of awe and speechless wondering.
Take me bless-ed Father and make me whole,
Giving my life purpose and with a goal.

Good Morning Brethren!!

To God be the Glory this new year!! I hope this finds you well!! I impart His Blessings upon you and even as you read this...you are being blessed! God is soo good, isn't He?

Can we get personal? Do you praise Him through the day? I mean...you don't necessarily have to do it loudly....<unless you are a housefrau like me, and have that privilege..tee hee>.

Man, what a blessing it must have been for David to filter those Psalms! I know that some were grievous....but just to have to opportunity to pour out to God!! I do believe the chains fall, <clunk>....when even in fiery trials, and hard times....God's children are praising Him with their lips...and hanging on to Him with their heart.

Phil 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

I am sure you have your way of doing it....Far be it from me to teach Praise 101! God made you an individual...and your fingerprints look nothing like mine! But, whatever way you do it....I encourage you....Don't let the "Well of Praise" run dry! Praise Him! Rejoice in Him!

Some days we feel His Presence well up soo strong..and we are praising Him all day long....then when the adversity hits...the blinders come on, and we go "woe is me!" And I think the secret is....THOSE are the day to really praise Him...to really worship Him....Ok Lord...you know, this really looks bad....but, I CHOOSE to trust You in this....Your Word says that I walk by faith, and not by sight. <2Cor 5:7> This is the day that You have made...I will REJOICE and be glad in it.

God Bless You All, Brethren....<Anybody seen my tambourine?> Love you!!

In Christ!!

Psalm 9:2,3
I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
