When they saw who he was, he disappeared, They said to each other, "It feels like a fire burning in us when Jesus talked to us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us." Luke 24:31-32

Don't you love that verse? They knew they had been with Jesus because of the fire within them. God reveals his will by setting a torch to your soul. He gave Jeremiah a fire for hard hearts. He gave Nehemiah a fire for a forgotten city. He set Abraham on fire for a land he'd never seen. He set Isaiah on fire with a vision he couldn't resist. Forty years of fruitless preaching didn't extinguish the fire of Noah. Forty years of wilderness wandering didn't douse the passion of Moses. Jericho couldn't slow Joshua, and Goliath didn't deter David. There was a fire within them.

And isn't there one within you? Want to know God's will for your life? Then answer this question: What ignites your heart? Forgotten orphans? Untouched nations? The inner city? The outer limits?

Heed the fire within!

Do you have a passion to sing? Then sing!
Are you stirred to manage? Then manage!
Do you ache for the ill? Then treat them!
Do you hurt for the lost? Then teach them!

As a young man I felt the call to preach. Unsure if I was correct in my reading of God's will for me, I sought the counsel of a minister I admired. His counsel still rings true. "Don't preach," he said, "unless you have to."

As I pondered his words I found my answer. "I have to. If I don't, the fire will consume me."

What is the fire that consumes you?

Mark it down: Jesus comes to set you on fire! He walks as a torch from heart to heart, warming the cold and thawing the chilled and stirring the ashes. He is at once a Galilean wildfire and a welcome candle. He comes to purge infection and illuminate your direction.

The fire of your heart is the light of your path. Disregard it at your own expense. Fan it at your own delight. Blow it. Stir it. Nourish it. Cynics will doubt it. Those without it will mock it. But those who know it--those who know him--will understand it.

To meet the Savior is to be set aflame.
To discover the flame is to discover his will.
And to discover His Will is to access a world like none you've ever seen.

THIS BLOOD

Violently they grabbed His arms as they tightly strapped each wrist. With the hellish looks that a strong armed soldier whip clenched in his fist Laced with chips of bone they beat Him hard from his shoulders to His feet. And it sliced right through His olive skin just like razors through a sheet. Countless times the blood splattered as each inhuman lash was given. Several times His knees gave way as His flesh just hung like ribbons. Then surprisingly He turned His head though the words He used were few. The soldier's face turned pale when He said "This blood is for you."

Uncaringly they tossed a garment across His weakened form. And His blood pressure fell deathly low as the crowds began to swarm. They forced Him to carry His cross uphill as His face they punched and smacked. As the splinters from the crisscrossed beam dug deep into His back. Through lack of sleep and dehydration His tongue began to swell. And weakened by His loss of blood, this Prophet, Teacher fell. When He did, some blood splattered on a man named Simon's shoe. And as He bent to wipe it off, the Prophet said, "Simon, this blood is for you."

And this blood can save the soul, heal the sick, mend the heart. This blood can give you access to the very Throne of God. And it still can go the distance through the pain to where you are. This blood is for you---- THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB.

Then they pounded a spike through His wrist, bursting arteries and veins. As they dropped the cross in the hole they dug, His body convulsed with pain. Through an agony and torment that never a soul shall find, He tilts His face towards heaven with full control of His Mind With more love than any human heard before that time or since, He made a statement that to this day makes the strongest skeptic wince. He cried, "Father God, forgive them for they know not what they do." And as He gave His life for those lost in sin, He was saying, "This blood is for you."

And this blood can save the soul, heal the sick, mend the heart. This blood can give you access to the very Throne of God. And it still can go the distance through the paid to where you are. This blood is for you---- THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB.

Eph 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Good Morning Brethren!!

Amen and Amen!! I get excited when the "Blood" starts pumping!! I realize more and more, Brethren, that we lose sight of the Blood that was shed for us...and that is soo important to remember.

Does it stir your heart to think...that when the first drop fell...that "You" were on His Mind? How He must have endured such great pain, because He knew that you, nor I, were not capable of washing away our own sin.

Corrie Ten Boom once said that, "God takes our sins, and throws them into the deepest sea, and then puts up a 'No Fishing' sign." How the Blood is so relevant....when Carol realizes that "she" cannot go on in her own power....and "she" is totally incapable of null and voiding her own sin.

Remember the old hymn, "There's power in the Blood?"

"Would you be free from your burden of sin? There's pow'r in the Blood, pow'r in the Blood. Pow'r in the Blood.

Would you o'er evil a victory to win? There's wonderful pow'r in the Blood.

There is pow'r, pow'r, Wonder working pow'r, in the Blood of the Lamb.

There is pow'r, powr, Wonder working pow'r, in the precious Blood of the Lamb."

I remember a story relayed by D. L. Moody. He shared about a woman who gave instructions to her servant, in regards to killing and dressing a lamb. They were preparing it for a meal. The thing was, she forgot to mention what to do with the blood. The servant came back awhile later and said: "What are you going to do with the blood of the lamb?"

This question shot straight into her heart, for she was already under great conviction. All she would hear in her mind, over and over that day: "What are you going to do with the blood of the lamb?" By that night, she was on her knees, sobbing and repenting, as she yielded her life to Jesus.

I thank God for His Precious Blood! I thank Him, that through His Blood...I am redeemed!!! He sees us through His Own Blood! And oh, how it cleanses us!

Are you still burdened by a sin that you think has not been accounted for? Are you walking in guilt, and self' condemnation? Then I ask you to do something. Focus, on a hill....and on that hill, stands a craggy cross, and on that cross, is a Man. That Man chose to enter a womb...and live in this world, because He knew that you needed Him. The Man I am referring to, is Jesus Christ. He died on that cross for you..and for me.

He shed His Blood for us. And in that Blood, being washed....as I type...are the sins of the world. Receive the cleansing now. Repent of your sin, (turn away) and be washed..."white as snow."

Then walk away FREE...knowing that your Lord and Savior has redeemed you....and that your name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life...

He loves you sooo much!!

What a "Hump Day" victory...to remember that the Blood of Jesus....was shed....for me.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, my Precious Brethren.

Eph 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

I love you, and God Bless!

In Christ!!
