God loves you. And if God is on your side, what is there to fear? Nothing.
Now or ever.

Good Morning Brethren!

Hope this finds your Wednesday ok! Got an urge to praise the Lord today? Mehopes that you will after you read today's issue! Please, read on and be blessed:

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Rom 8:28

"Once upon a time, there was a Maharajah who had a mighty kingdom. His chief servant was a thorn in his flesh, so to speak, and always had a little annoying phrase he would use whenever speaking to his master about things that would go wrong.

The cattle were dying and the servant would reply, "All for good, Master, all for good." The crops were failing. "All for good, Master, all for good!"

One day the Maharajah cut off the end of one of his fingers and his servant exclaimed, "All for good, Master, all for good!" This angered the Maharajah and he immediately threw his chief slave into the prison.

Months went by and the Maharajah took a trip into the desert. While he was sleeping some bandits came. They rolled him up in a carpet and took him away. Now, it was their full intention to sacrifice him to their gods but when they saw that he had a missing finger they took him back out into the desert and left him.

He was so grateful that he hurried back to his kingdom and called for his chief servant, whom he had forgotten, and begged his forgiveness. He said to the servant, "Now I understand..."All for good! I am so sorry I had you locked up in prison, dear man." But the servant said, "Oh no! Really it was all for good!!! You see, had I been with you on your trip out into the desert, when they discovered your finger missing, they would have sacrificed me instead because I am your chief servant beside you!!! ALL FOR GOOD, MASTER, ALL FOR GOOD!"

:¤:*THROUGH THE STORM*:¤:

THE STORMS OF LIFE SURROUND ME, BUT I WILL NOT BE TOSSED TO AND FRO. I AM ANCHORED IN YOUR STEADFAST LOVE. A SONG OF PRAISE WELLS UP FROM MY HEART. I WILL SING PRAISE AND GLORY TO YOUR NAME, WHILE YOU CARRY ME THROUGH THE STORM. YOU ALONE KNOW THE ANSWERS AND THE OUTCOME. I TAKE COMFORT IN YOUR MIGHTY PRESENCE.

I TURN INTO THE WIND, UNAFRAID, READY TO FACE EACH DAY HEAD ON, FLANKED WITH YOUR POWER AND WISDOM. IN THE PEAK OF THE STORM, WHEN I FEEL I CAN HOLD ON NO LONGER, I WILL CALL ON YOUR NAME FOR PEACE. I WILL TRUST IN YOU AND WILL NOT BE AFRAID, AS I REST WITHIN YOUR PROTECTING HANDS.

As The Deer

As the deer pants for the waterbrook.
So my soul longs for Thee.
My soul thirsts for the living God.
Yes, my soul longs for Thee.

And I pour out my soul deep within me,
Deep within me I pour out my soul.
Take me deeper, Lord, deeper in You.
Take me deeper, Lord, deeper in You.

Me again Brethren!

Man, oh man...You know, every time I think I am gonna write about one thing..the Lord impresses something much deeper into my heart! And I gotta share this!

Those of you that read last week's devotional, know about my son Noah, and his finger. He lost the top joint of his ring finger in an accident. I was in Denver at the time and couldn't get to him until the next day. Well, thanks to you prayer warriors, that little boy is under a strong anointing. He is singing and dancing..and hasn't cried once! In other words, he is doing great!!! Thank you all so much for that!!

What I am impressed to share today is the issue of "Praise." Someone brought to my attention the fact, that Jimmy and I both handled this tragedy with "praise"..and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that yes...that is when our peace overflowed!

You gotta picture something here. I was standing in Shannon's kitchen, some 1,400 miles away, while my son was in surgery. I knew I had the choice to sit and mope or get busy. I chose the latter. As I was cleaning greens in the kitchen...a song came to my heart...and I started singing it, haltingly, at first. And then, the most beautiful thing happened.

Julia, another Pastor's wife, was in there with me, peeling potatoes...and she joined in. We were singing the song: "I Love You Lord."

I love you Lord, and I lift my voice,
To worship You, O my soul...rejoice.
Take heart my King, in what You hear.
May it be a sweet, sweet sound in Your ear.

As we were singing, I knew in the Spirit that the "sweet incense of praise" wafted into the heavenlies...and how our Precious Lord was so pleased. As it ascended, and Blessed Him, it circled and came back down...transformed into an anointing oil...and poured out on us.

Can you see it?? It's the sacrifice of Praise that breaks the yokes...that brings relief in the seemingly impossible situations! As we praised our Lord..He was blessing and anointing and pouring out the windows of heaven! There is no way that I would have had peace in this situation without that!

We have our own individual ways of praising the Lord..and that is truly a good thing. "Variety is the spice of life." I guess that is why he made our voices ring with different calibers. Some bass, some alto, etc. Jimmy says I sing between the cracks....lol

But, you know...it doesn't matter how we sound to each other. Any sacrifice of praise is absolutely beautiful to the Lord. A sacrifice of praise is a way of saying: Yes Lord, this looks pretty bad. I know that these circumstances don't look good. But, You are still my God...You are still my Redeemer...and I choose, at this moment, as an act of my will, to praise YOU!!

1 Chr 23:30 And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even;

Ps 22:22 I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

Ps 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

When I was an installer at the phone company some years back...I would wake up some mornings with a fear ministering to me. I had a dread, wondering what the day would bring. The days I chose to send up a sacrifice of praise...were the days that I saw the most fruit. Those were the days that the fear had to leave. Light and darkness do not fellowship, and as the fruit of my lips produced praise, the darkness had to flee!

When we are praising Him, our focus is on Him. When we are praising Him, we are, in essence, saying, "You are the Best! You can handle this situation! It is impossible for me, but with You, all things are possible!"

Just like the introductory story..."All is for good, all is for good!!" We may not can always see it right away, but I assure you, with the sacrifice of praise, the ride is a lot less bumpy, and the path much clearer...and God is God, and He is still in control of what happens in the lives of His children.

Dear Lord, we offer a sacrifice of praise to You this day!! What's that? Do I hear a song coming forth? Yes..I think I do. :)

God Bless You Guys! I love you bunches!!

In Christ!!
