Somewhere over the
rainbow
Is that where we left them? Not hardly! We left them alone in a dark limbo, a nowhere place of fear and despair. Many are dead but have no graves. Their souls cry out for us to end the pain and uncertainty their loved ones continue to endure. Some still live, but where? And how? They still grieve that their nation has done almost nothing to bring them home. Men and women without a country now, or so it must seem. Yet hope lives on, however faint, that you and I and others like us will join together to bring them home. That American honor lives on. Somewhere over the rainbow. |
| Is anyone
still praying? Does anyone still remember? Their fathers, their mothers, sisters & brothers. Their sweethearts, their wives & children, too. Old faithful friends are all waiting, and hoping and praying. Yes, there are still some who care. But the numbers are few. Where is the outrage that so little has been done? That our nation can be so callous? That Washington takes no action? It will take the efforts of many to right these wrongs. I'm willing. How about you? |

A Special
Tribute to Those "Lost" in Viet Nam The pals of my youth, we fought side by side... I came home at last. Those on "The Wall" did, too. They gave the ultimate sacrifice, and how I weep for them. Yet my tears turn to bitter from salt when I think about you. Abandoned, forgotten, unmourned and dishonored by the very people you so valiantly served. Like your fellow sufferers from wars prior and since, you have given more than your all yet have received less than nothing from the most powerful nation on earth. I hang my head in shame. |
